Our Story

L.Alien began with a dream.  A suitcase and a dream, really.  A longing to be in a place where the sun shines every day and there is a shared sense of belonging, acceptance and welcoming of the weird, the creative, the soul-searching, and the passionate entrepreneurial spirit. Los Angeles, CA is that place and L.Aliens are those who are drawn to this place with the drive to be something they always wanted to be or to simply explore their passions to discover their dream.  L.A. offers opportunity to every single kind of person from every single part of the world.  And with all the cliches many people decide to associate with L.A., L.Aliens will continue to breakdown those cliches, tear down those walls, and live out their dreams.  If you are a painter who prefers your canvas to be the human body, Los Angeles is a place where that can not only be your passion, but it can also be your career.  If you want to be an actor who also works at Universal Studios for fun and produces music videos for your favorite band, you can do that in L.A.  If you want to be a beach bum artist, the the director of movie orchestras, a Disney character on Hollywood Blvd., a whale-watching captain, a poet, a food stylist for commercials, a marketing director for the LGBT Center, or a fashion designer looking to collaborate with like-minded, passionate L.Aliens, Los Angeles was made for you.  There are many opportunities in Los Angeles that may occur elsewhere, but often without the vast diversity and passion that L.Aliens share.  L.Aliens don’t just talk about collaborating for business or for fun, they actually get out there and do it.  Thank you all you L.Aliens who make L.A. the wonderful place that it is.  We are tearing down the walls of stereotypes and cliches and embracing the excitement in being weird and unique.  You can be absolutely anything you dream to be L.Alien!
